Memorandum of understanding between CAPP and the African Youth

A delegation representing the Pan African Youth Organization held a meeting with H.E Dr. Nafie Ali Nafie Secretary General of the Council of African Political Parties. In a statement to the press, Dr. Munzir Omer Almosarif, Assistant Secretary General of the Pan African Youth Organization said that the Pan African Youth Organization and the Council of African Political Parties will sign a memorandum of understanding in the near future to strengthen cooperation in the areas of mutual interest.

Dr. Munzir commended the role played by CAPP during the past years since its establishment to date and said that the cooperation between CAPP and the Pan African Youth Organization will be further strengthened in the next phase. Delegates representing the Pan African Youth Organization also commended CAPP for its contribution in the common African action in many areas and strengthening of solidarity among the peoples of Africa.

The African Chinese Popular Forum supports solidarity of the peoples

Dr. Azhari Eltigani, Deputy Secretary General of CAPP, commended the 5th African Chinese Popular Forum hosted by the Chinese Communist Party. Dr. Eltigani Said that 89 delegates represented the Chinese side 15 of them from the senior leadership of the state and the Party headed by H.E. Wang wi Chan, vice president of the People’s Republic of China and 63 delegates from Africa including six very senior leaders among them the Prime Minister of Congo and the former President of Tanzania.

Dr. Eltigani said the the Forum stressed the need to strengthen the civil society organizations in the community development process and the solidarity between African Chinese organizations in international fora and the cooperation and partnership between the Chinese people and the African peoples on the basis of mutual benefits.

African Parties leaders in a training program in China

The training program of African Parties leaders was concluded two days ago in China. The training program was hosted by the Chinese Communist Party in cooperation with CAPP. 20 cadres of senior leaders from African Political Parties participated in the program. The delegates were headed by Dr. Eltigani Salih Fidail, Assistant Secretary General of CAPP for the regional and international organizations.

The training program included lectures, meetings with the leaders of the Communist Party of China and field visits to some commercial and industrial towns in China and an orientation on the Belt and Road initatiative put forward by the Chinese leaders to enhance trade and development between China and peoples across the globe.

Capp participated in the 2nd Asia – Europe political forum in London 17_20 May 2018

Capp participated in the 2nd Asia/Europe political forum upon invitation by Icapp and ECR.

Regional cooperation and disasters of climate change were discussed. The final communiqué issued by the forum called for strong commitment to address these issues.

The Representative of Capp has highlighted the impact of climate change on Africa. He met and discussed with delegations from Asia and Europe the cooperation between Capp and their political parties.

 

Capp participation in the special conference on Silk Road

Upon invitation from the international conference of the Asian political Parties (Icapp), Capp’s Secretary general Dr. Nafie Ali Nafie led a delegation to attend the special conference on Silk Road which took place in Tehran the 1st _ 4th February 2018 jointly organized by Icapp and Motalefa party of Iran.

The issues under discussion during the five sessions were: the role of political parties in reducing tension and combating religious extremism, the role of political parties in trade exchange along the Silk Road, the role of political parties in cultural cooperation along the Silk Road, the role of political parties in political development along the Silk Road, the role of political parties in urban development.

The Secretary general Dr. Nafie Ali Nafie addressed the first session and explained the root causes of extremism and the ways and means to combat it.

The Secretary General met many political leaders from Asia as well as many directors of research centers; he seized the opportunity to explore with them the potential cooperation with Capp.

 

 

The third meeting of the General Assembly ــــ Khartoum, Sudan, 19-20 August 2017

The General Secretariat of the Council of African Political Parties oversees the third meeting of the General Assembly of the Council, hosted by the General Secretariat, Khartoum, Sudan, from 19-20 August 2017.
The third meeting of the General Assembly of CAPP is of special importance. The first term of office of the Bodies of CAPP elected in the Constitutive Conference in April 2013 has elapsed and the most important agenda items of the third meeting of the General Assembly are:-

Elections of the leadership and Bodies of the Council as follows:

Election of the President of CAPP, the five Vices-President and members of the Standing Committee.

Election of the Executive Committee of CAPP.

Adoption of the Executive Rule of the Coordination Councils of the Regions and election of the coordination Councils.

The constitutive Meeting of the Media Forum

The General Secretariat has the honor to inform that the constitutive meeting of the Media Forum of CAPP will be held in Niamey, Republic of Niger on Saturday 8th July 2017 upon kind invitation from the Niger Party for Democracy and Socialism،  the General Secretariat therefore invites all African parties to participate in this meeting, Of the parties that have not yet nominated their representative at this meeting to accelerate the naming. It also requests all gentlemen and women participating in this meeting to send a copy of passports to issue visas to the territory of the Republic of Niger upon arrival at Niamey airport. Delegations will be located at HOTEL GAWEYE and the host party will be responsible for accommodation and internal relocation expenses .

Final Communique of the constitutive meeting of the Economic Council of the African Political Parties

Upon kind invitation from Ennahda Party, Tunisian Republic, and at the request of the General Secretariat of the Council of African Political Parties ,CAPP, the constitutive meeting of the Economic Council of CAPP was held in Tunis during the period 18 – 19 March 2017.

The inagural session was attended by all delegations representing the African Political Parties, Businessmen from African Countries, representatives of African Diplomatic missions in Tunis and many Political peresonalities from the host Country and leaders of the Ennahda Party.

H.E. Fadil Abdel Kafi, Minister of Development, investment and international cooperation and representative of H.E. the Head of the Tunisian Government addressed the inagural session.

A number of Ministers and Political leaders and the President of the Council of Political Parties of Latin America and the Caribean ,COPPPAL, also addressed the inagural session and some African Economic expert also made presentations in the session.

All the speakers stressed the importance of the establishment of the Economic Council and what it can achieve through co-ordination of Business opportunities among African Countries.

The procedural session was held in the next day and the meeting adopted the Executive Rules establishing the Economic Council.Accordingly delegates elected the Executive Office of the Economic Council who in turn elected the President, two Vice-President and the Rapporter of the Council. The result was as follows:-

Tunisia           President of the Economic Council.

Senegal          Vice-President.

Ethiopia         Vice-President.

Rwanda         Rapporter.

Tunis had been selected to be the Seat of the Economic Council.

It has also been decided to conclude and sign a memorandum of Understanding between the Economic Council of African Political Parties “CAPP” and the Economic Council of Latin America and the Caribean “COPPPAL”.

Bakri receives delegations of African Political Parties and Council of Latin American and Caribbean Parties

The First Vice-President of the Republic, Lt. Gen. Bakri Hassan Salih met in the Republican Palace, Saturday, with delegations of the Conference of African Parties-the Permanent Committee- and the Council of Latin American and Caribbean Parties.

The First Vice-President underscore importance of such meetings in cementing ties between the African people and Latin American and Caribbean people, referring to important role of political parties in political, cultural and economic domains.

Secretary-General of the Council of African Political Parties, Dr Nafie Ali Nafie said in press statements , that the Deputy Chairman of the Permanent Committee addressed the meeting as well as the Chairman of the Council of the Latin American and Caribbean Political Parties who indicated to ancient relations between Africa and Latin America.

He added the First Vice-President welcomed visit of the two delegations to Sudan and hoped that the political parties to play role in expanding relations between African and Latin American peoples and governments.
